Ngo’s in Pakistan are on the rise and they’re working to promote, protect and defend women’s rights. This blog post will give you a rundown of some of the most influential NGOs in Pakistan currently advocating for women.
The Women Rights NGO – Pakistani Institute of Social Welfare (WRI) is one such organization that provides shelter, rehabilitation, counseling, and legal assistance for victims of violence against women. The WRI has been around since 1980 and was founded by Mrs. Nasreen Azhar who also served as its first chairperson until her death in 2003. The institute aims to empower women through education and awareness programs while teaching them skills like sewing or stitching so they can become more independent economically speaking.
lthough there are hundreds of NGOs / NPOs working in this sector, we have listed some of the notable ones.
