Many people often think of religious organizations as being conservative and not open to change. However, this is not true. Religious minorities across the world are struggling for their rights and welfare in a multitude of ways. This blog post will discuss some of these issues and how they can be solved through the work done by NGOs (non-governmental organizations).
NGOs that advocate for minority rights and welfare are a relatively new phenomenon in the history of civil society. In many nations, these organizations have been slow to develop due to a number of factors including weak political support and resistance from dominant social groups. However, in recent years there has been an increase in religious minority NGOs which is important given the rising tide of global anti-religious sentiment.
List of NGOs working on protection of rights of religious and sectarian minorities. Although many Organizations working on human rights issues have an interest in the topic, on this page we have compiled a list of those organizations and bodies that work primarily for protecting the interests of religious minorities.
